The Minnesota Supreme Court Historical Society was founded by lawyers, educators, judges, and other legal professionals who have a deep and abiding interest in the history of this State and the profound role that Minnesota's courts have played in that history. Our mission is to collect, preserve, and promote Minnesota's Judicial History and serve the interests of the bench and bar, the academic community, and the general public through educational programs, publications and support of scholarly research.
We welcome your participation.
During its first year, the Society published the book Testimony: Remembering Minnesota's Supreme Court Justices - a collection of memorials to deceased Justices. The Society also published a Minnesota Supreme Court Law Clerk Directory and jointly sponsored a law clerk reunion with the Appellate Practice Section of the Minnesota State Bar Association. In coming years, the Society will sponsor a History Day writing competition for students.
We invite you to join. As a member, you will be able to purchase a copy of the Society's book at a substantial discount. You will also receive a free ticket to the Society dinner to be held in November 2010.
Annual regular membership dues are $50 ($25 for those in public sector or public interest employment). |
